NBA Rumors: Kevin Durant Attempts Steven Adams Trade; Stephen Curry, Draymond Green Reject Big Man

The Kevin Durant exit from the Oklahoma City Thunder roster broke the hearts of fans of the Russell Westbrook team. However, it looks like the now Golden State Warriors star has another heartbreaking plan up his sleeve. Reports are surfacing that a Steven Adams trade has been called for by none other than Kevin Durant as he calls on the Kiwi to join him alongside Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.

The closeness of Kevin Durant and Steven Adams had been obvious in their chemistry in the hardwood court. While the 2014 NBA MVP had clashes with fellow All-Star Russell Westbrook, he barely got cross with the big man. Moreover, Kevin Durant himself shared that leaving Steven Adams behind in Oklahoma had been one of the most difficult things for him to do this offseason.

"I am, that's what made the decision so hard," shared Kevin Durant when asked about the progress of Steven Adams in the Oklahoma City Thunder lineup. He added, "Steven is going to be great, man. He works hard, he loves the game, and he just had that pure fun and joy. He's going to be great for them."

Will a Kevin Durant - Steven Adams reunion happen soon in the Golden State Warriors? Will this further divide the Oklahoma team into a Russell Westbrook and Enes Kanter vs Kevin Durant and Steven Adams face off? Can the Stephen Curry squad convince the Kiwi big man to join his hardwood court brother?

The answer appears to be in the negative. Unlike his Oklahoma teammates, particularly Enes Kanter and Russell Westbrook, the Kiwi star did not lash out at Kevin Durant following their leader's move to the Golden State Warriors. Rather, Steven Adams opted to keep mum on the issue and shared his plans with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the future.

"All in all, we'll just do well as a team," said Steven Adams when asked how the OKC will fare without Kevin Durant in the lineup. He added, "We've got a great group of guys, and they're just willing to work. That's what I like being around, just dudes who want to enjoy it and just work really hard. And so, as long as we're all doing that, it doesn't matter who scores as long as we win."
