NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Gamble Stephen Curry Free Agency Contract; D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson Go All-In For Warriors Star

The Los Angeles Lakers are moving pieces to attract huge stars in the NBA free agency in the offseason. With the likes of Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin possibly becoming available for the teams soon, many are wondering how the D'Angelo Russell team will maximize their assets to hopefully bring in the much-needed stars in their roster. Among the free agents, Luke Walton is said to be going big this offseason as he reportedly urges the front office to fight for a Stephen Curry contract to the Jordan Clarkson team.

The Stephen Curry free agency reports are now coming in more frequently especially with the current salary status at the Golden State Warriors. While the Dub Nation will undoubtedly be the preferred destination for the MVP candidate, the logistics might not make things go as smoothly as possible. At the moment, the Andre Iguodala team is loaded with expensive contracts with Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Given the performance of Stephen Curry in the past NBA seasons, it is now widely expected that his contract value will soar.

"I think right now, from what I've seen, it's easy for me to say that he's the best that I've ever seen shoot," shared Ray Allen of Stephen Curry. "I really put him in a category all of his own, because (of) the way he plays the game, being a point guard that can handle the way he handles the ball and the way he can shoot the ball."

Rumors are rife that the Los Angeles Lakers are preparing to move in the moment negotiations break down on the Stephen Curry contract with the Golden State Warriors. With Luke Walton in the D'Angelo Russell team, fans believe that the group has a legitimate shot at signing the former MVP. Should these plans actually push through, many see Stephen Curry greatly benefiting both D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson.

"He's too good of an athlete. He's one guy who loves to compete, but you can't get locked in and focus on the fact you can't make any shots," said Luke Walton of Jordan Clarkson. "That'll come eventually. Get into someone on defense, make some steals, make some passes, take a charge, do something."
