The Miami Heat are in a state of panic after losing the big three, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James, who brought them back to back NBA championships. Despite the promise of Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic, it looks like Pat Riley is looking for a tried and tested superstar to lead the team. With the Ray Allen retirement news making the rounds, the Miami Heat are said to be the lucky team to have landed the veteran star.

Ray Allen latest news updates point to the Miami Heat as the successful NBA team to lure the 41-year-old veteran out of retirement. Experts note that this return to the hardwood court would definitely put the former Milwaukee Bucks ahead of NBA draft batchmates Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson and Steve Nash. Moreover, a Ray Allen retirement return would make the 10-time NBA All-Star the oldest player in the league today.

When the Miami Heat lost LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Hassan Whiteside team slid in momentum as potential NBA Finals champions. However, it was the exit of Dwyane Wade from the Goran Dragic squad to the Chicago Bulls that served as the final nail in the coffin for the Pat Riley team. That is, the fans of the Miami Heat no longer have the confidence that the team can still be a title contender next season. Along with the loss of this enthusiasm among their supporters is the drop in ticket sales as the well-love NBA All-Star players are no longer with the Hassan Whiteside group.

However, this can change once the Miami Heat re-introduces Ray Allen. At the moment, the return of the veteran remains an unconfirmed possibility. However, fans of the Goran Dragic squad believe that Pat Riley might just be the best man in the position to convince the point guard to go back to the hardwood court. To further excite the league, Ray Allen had been quite open with the possibility of his comeback in the NBA.

"My decision is predicated on what is available," shared Ray Allen on his potential NBA comeback. He added, "I said that I was interested because I never retired for a reason. I've been watching, seeing what teams have been doing and I've been waiting to see if the opportunity presented itself where I think I could fit."

Throughout his career, Ray Allen had been with four NBA teams - the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle SuperSonics and Boston Celtics. He has two championship rings under his belt - one with the Boston Celtics in 2008 when they beat the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals; the other was in 2013 with the Miami Heat when they beat the San Antonio Spurs.
