The Minnesota Timberwolves are teeming at the seams with unbelievable talent this NBA season. With the seemingly never-ending growth of Andrew Wiggins, who is usually pegged as the next Kobe Bryant, along with the notable development of Karl-Anthony Towns, the Kevin Garnett squad is set to become a dominant team in the league soon. However, the Minnesota Timberwolves remain at the bottom of the Western Conference - almost 50 games behind the Golden State Warriors. Despite the skills of Zach Lavine and his team, the group is still eons away from beating the Stephen Curry squad.

With such a talented lineup, sports analysts wonder about the problems of the Minnesota Timberwolves. In fact, both Lavine and Towns notably excelled in the NBA All-Star games in Toronto this year, with Wiggins dominating the event in the previous NBA season. Apart from them, the Minnesota Timberwolves also take pride in having Ricky Rubio on the roster.

However, it looks like the 2009 first-round NBA Draft pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves may no longer be a good fit for the growing team. Throughout the years, the NBA squad built their roster around Rubio - going as far as scouting for rookies who can complement the point guard's playing style. Recent reports reveal though that the Kevin Garnett squad might be looking to move the 25-year-old star to attract more players and rearrange the roster.

"It's fun to see all the trades," Rubio commented via Star Tribune of the NBA trade rumors surrounding his future with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Spanish star added, "Unless it's you."

Despite his trepidation over the possible trades, Rubio remains realistic. He also noted that teams make the best moves to accommodate their budgets and improve their roster. That is, the Spanish basketball star understands that such is the nature of the business.

He said, "I mean, it's all rumors and if it happens, it happens. When your name is out there, it's not fun. But it's part of the business."

Rubio has been widely rumored to possibly move to the New York Knicks soon. Apart from the Carmelo Anthony squad, the point guard was also speculated to have garnered interest from the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers. However, interim head coach Sam Mitchell rejected the NBA trade rumors surrounding Rubio.

"My message to you guys, there's always a lot of talk,'' noted Mitchell via the New York Post. He added, "I tell players all the time - I was traded. I never thought it was a bad thing. Somebody else wants you. A lot of names were floating around."

Mitchell added, "We're pleased with Ricky. Ricky has had a very good year, leading our team in assists and defensively. He's been a streaky shooter but we feel confident he'll get better at that. The thing I love about Ricky is all the qualities, his IQ, mental toughness.''
