The Oklahoma City Thunder have yet to fully recover from the exit of Kevin Durant to sign with the Golden State Warriors and join the super team of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Without his trusted partner, Russell Westbrook has been sorely missing the support he had relied upon in the past years in the NBA. Will DeMarcus Cousins be the answer to the problems of the Oklahoma City Thunder?

The Sacramento Kings have once again disappointed its fans this NBA season with the poor handling of their talents. So far, a Rudy Gay trade has been basically sealed even before the regular season. With the recent losses of the NBA team, it looks like a DeMarcus Cousins trade is not far behind.

"I'd say they have three months, tops," said an unnamed Western Conference general manager via Sporting News. He further revealed, "Probably more like a month, or month-and-a-half, because the closer they get to the (February trade) deadline, the less they're going to get back. If you're trying to trade him the week of the deadline, it's going to be tougher."

To date, fans have noted that the basketball teams interested in a DeMarcus Cousins trade basically included half of the NBA such as the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors. However, rumors are rife that the Oklahoma City Thunder offer the best option for the Sacramento Kings star.

Speculations point to the possible explosive partnership between DeMarcus Cousins and Russell Westbrook. Without Kevin Durant, the Oklahoma City Thunder has been struggling to figure out a way to ease the workload of their leader.

"We've gotta obviously utilize different players to help generate offense. But I don't think it should put any more on Russell's plate. He's gonna pretty much be in the same rotation he's always been in," shared OKC coach Billy Donovan via the Bleacher Report.

While he has yet to complain on his massive role with the Steven Adams team, fans noted that Russell Westbrook is in dire need of a partner. Will a DeMarcus Cousins trade be the solution?

The answer remains uncertain. At this point, no official comment has been issue by any of the parties concerned. While fans clamor for a DeMarcus Cousins trade, the Sacramento Kings have yet to entertain serious offers for the controversial big man. Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder is anticipated to determine how to sign a Kevin Durant 2.0 in an effort to help Russell Westbrook.
