After 18 seasons, Ray Allen is still sought after in the NBA.  NBA

41-year-old Ray Allen said that he's ready to revive his career in the NBA. Although the shooting guard is expected to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Golden State Warriors, he said that he has already spoken with the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks about his possible comeback.

Allen has been a free agent since 2014. The last time he played in the NBA was when he was still with the Heat. During that time, he was playing alongside LeBron James, who is now with the Cavs.

But after two years of absence from the NBA, Allen said that he's now ready to return. He has been practicing on the court and ultimately preparing himself to becoming an active NBA superstar.

"I worked out the other day in New York with a friend of mine," he told the Courant. "I was shooting, I was going through my routine just like I'd always done. Yeah, I was a little winded, but I was able to go through my routine like I'd always gone though my routine and I didn't feel like I'd missed any time in doing what I was doing."

"For me, it's not 'Can I do it anymore?'" he added. "It's how I feel after I do it. And yesterday, I felt great."

Although it is not yet clear where he will end up in once he decides to make a comeback, he could join the Cavs to reunite with James. This, of course, would be a logical move for Allen since the Cleveland organization is currently the top title contender in the league for the upcoming season.

Likewise, he could also consider joining the Warriors since they are a very strong team, especially after they were able to get Kevin Durant.

But other than the Cavs or Warriors, Allen is also thinking of signing with the Bucks and the Celtics. According to him, he has already talked with the Boston franchise for his comeback.

Aside from these teams, Allen admitted that the New York Knicks are also keen on signing him. He even revealed that the team has enlisted the help of acclaimed director Spike Lee to recruit him.

As strange as this may sound, Lee and Allen have a very strong connection to one another. As Fox Sports pointed out, Allen starred in Lee's 1998 sports drama "He Got Game" along with Denzel Washington.

"Spike Lee has been trying to recruit me," Allen said. "We've been texting."
