The San Antonio Spurs are making a big push towards unseating the Golden State Warriors in the West. Although Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge have been doing their best to lead the team, injuries from their go-to guys like Tony Parker tend to hamper their run. With this in mind, it appears that Gregg Popovich is looking into a long-term solution via a Paul George contract.

The Indiana Pacers have been struggling to ensure their NBA playoffs spot this season as they trail behind the Milwaukee Bucks of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Atlanta Hawks of Dwight Howard and Toronto Raptors of DeMar DeRozan. Despite the impressive talent of their leader, they have yet to see if they can move past the Boston Celtics of Isaiah Thomas, Washington Wizards of John Wall and of course, LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers. Will this be the end of a Paul George contract with the Indiana Pacers?

Rumors are rife that the All-Star has been looking at ways to get out of the Indiana Pacers as he remains the solo player carrying the team every season. Among the teams interested in a Paul George contract are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. However, it appears that he might be moving to the West soon as the San Antonio Spurs reportedly expressed interest in signing a Paul George contract soon.

"You always relive the glory days when they're gone. So I'm trying to bring that to this team, and that edge. But it's taken some time. It's been a toll," said Paul George of his season with the Indiana Pacers.

He added, "Usually I had two jobs: be the best defender and the best scorer. Now it's, be the leader, be the toughness guy, be the enforcer. It's just a lot of roles that I've had to pick up this season. And that's what's been the toll. That's what's been the roughest part of it. It's how do you put energy in every bit of places. And I've grown with it, I've gotten better throughout the season, as the season's gone on, as different matchups have gone on, how to approach different teams. But it's been a task."

At this point, no official comment has been given by the parties tagged in this NBA rumor. For the fans of the San Antonio Spurs, a Paul George contract could boost the performance of Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge especially with the impending exit of Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Pau Gasol.
