The San Antonio Spurs are looking to redeem themselves this NBA season after failing to reach the Western Conference Finals due to the power teamup of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in the Oklahoma City Thunder in the last playoffs. However, this year sees the Kawhi Leonard team rising to the top once again and is expected to be strong contenders to topple the Golden State Warriors' super team. To secure their chances, the LaMarcus Aldridge team is anticipated to sign a DeMarcus Cousins trade deal soon.

The Sacramento Kings have been pegged to be on the verge of a rebuild following the exit of several head coaches from the team. With a Rudy Gay trade or exit impending to happen anytime soon, the NBA team appears to be looking into ways to make the most out of their current situation. With this in mind, experts and fans point to a DeMarcus Cousins trade to maximize their assets.

The DeMarcus Cousins trade rumors have been making the rounds since last NBA season. With the explosive center openly expressing his dissatisfaction with the basketball team, rumors are rife that he will be exiting the group soon - a situation that may even happen earlier than a Rudy Gay trade. Hence, experts feel that the Sacramento Kings should step in the negotiations to not lose DeMarcus Cousins via free agency. That is, the NBA team has to look for the best basketball squad who gives the most promising offer in exchange for the center.

Among the NBA teams reportedly interested in a DeMarcus Cousins trade are the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, and Golden State Warriors. However, speculations are pointing to the San Antonio Spurs as the best option for the Sacramento Kings star.

The recent stint of DeMarcus Cousins with Team USA in the 2016 Rio Olympics has pushed him into the spotlight. In the NBA, his temper and attitude in the hardwood court have been the main topics linked to the star. However, his Olympics stint shed light on his abilities as a basketball player and leader. Hence, NBA teams are reportedly taking the possibility of a DeMarcus Cousins trade more seriously.

"Just to be around that atmosphere and to see that work ethic, the daily routines and everything that goes on behind the scenes - there's a lot I took back. I was a sponge around those guys and at the end of the day, I enjoyed the experience and I think I came out a better player from it," said DeMarcus Cousins of his Rio Olympics experience.
