New reports suggest that the Atlanta Hawks might be considering trading away veteran point guard Jeff Teague. However, it's not clear if a trade will push through his supposed past injury last season.

With the 2016 NBA Draft only a couple of days away, the Hawks can be expected to engage in trade talks with other teams in order to get a higher pick. But, if they want to secure a good slot, they might consider trading away one or even some of their veteran players, according to Peach Tree Hoops.

One of those players could be Teague, who has been with the team since 2009. Although he has been the team's main point guard during the majority of his stay in Atlanta, his on-court minutes decreased during the 2015 season.

During this time, he found himself competing against back-up point guard Dennis Schroder for more playing time. With his role in the team decreasing, other NBA franchises started expressing their interest in getting him. This could also mean that the Hawks may have found a replacement for Teague in the form of Schroeder.

The prospect of a trade involving Teague will still depend on his condition and other team's current interest in him. This, however, may have changed within the last few days when he made a surprising revelation.

According to Teague's Instagram post, which was immediately deleted, he played the 2015-2016 season with an injury. He also noted that the team tried to hide his condition from the public.

"They won't tell y'all but I played with a tear in my patella the whole year and could barely jump or stop but it's [cool] got that take care [of] #illbebackdunking #theywontsaythatpart," he posted according to Fansided.

Revealing that he has an injury could certainly hurt his chances of getting traded since other teams will not probably risking a good offer in exchange for a player that could end up missing the bulk of a season in the future.

It's also interesting that Teague revealed the Hawks don't want to discuss his injury with the public, which could indicate that he's not happy with the team.
