The Toronto Raptors are in need to build up its roster and one possible way that they can do this is by trading away Terrence Ross to the Chicago Bulls. In exchange, they can get Taj Gibson.

It has long been rumored that Gibson will be placed by the Bulls on the trading block anytime soon. After all, he is about to enter the last year of his contract, which is worth $8.9 million. In addition, he is close friends with Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah. Since these two are no longer on the Bulls' roster, there's a good chance that Gibson might leave Chicago too.

Gibson may also be looking to move to a new environment especially since he's been with the Bulls since 2009, after he was drafted by the team as the 26^th overall pick.

As for the Raptors, they are surely looking to continue or improve their status as a possible championship contender for next season, which is why they agreed to re-sign shooting guard DeMar DeRozan for five years, according to Yibada. However, their current roster still lacks the proper experience that can propel them through the playoffs in the next seasons.

One way they can fix this is by trading away Ross to Chicago in exchange for Gibson. This may sound a bit problematic for some especially since the Raptors need scoring guards.

However, they were already able to partially fill this need by re-acquiring DeRozan. And, with Gibson onboard, Toronto will be getting a very experienced power forward who could significantly improve the team's front line. He could also serve as the veteran leader for the Raptors' young starters, such as DeRozan.

Joining the Raptors will also be good for Gibson because based on their performance last year, they certainly have a greater chance of making it in the finals than the Bulls.

But then again, the trade for Ross and Gibson will only depend on what their teams will decide in the near future. Also, this will depend on how much cap space both teams still have and if they have enough to acquire new players.
