The Democratic party has a spotlight on them in this next election year, as President Obama will be out and someone from the party will want to take his place.  The current list of Democratic candidates are still Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O'Malley, and they are prepared for another round of debates in mid-January.  These are the facts about the NBC Democratic Debate 2016 Live Stream, Start Time, TV Schedule (Jan. 17) and how to watch the Debate Online with Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O'Malley.

The first Democratic Party debate of 2016 will take place on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Charleston, South Carolina.  It will air on NBC from 9-11 PM ET (8-10 CT and 6-8 PT), and it will be hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus Institute and moderated by Lester Holt from NBC Nightly News. 

This is the fourth debate for the 2016 election, and this particular one will be key as it is the final Democratic presidential debate before the first caucus and primary votes are cast.  According to Politico, the polls show former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton well ahead of her nearest rival, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who has been struggling to gain traction in the South.

For those that want to stream it live, it can be done via the NBC News YouTube Channel.  According to Tech Times, those watching the debate from YouTube will have the chance to get involved.  The debate will feature questions from the YouTube community with Democratic candidates taking advantage of social media. 

It is pretty clear that Google's own YouTube wants to take advantage of the press that will be generated during the election.  Google has stated that since 2005, users have watched more than 5 million hours of news on YouTube daily, and any viewers tuning into the live stream debate will be part of the Google Trends data that is generated.  Google has stated in their official blog that viewers will be able to catch all of the major election moments unfold on YouTube.

The Verge reports that the ratings for Democratic debates have been absolutely crushed by the high-profile Republican contests, and putting the debate on YouTube is a way of bringing the Democratic debate to as many users as possible. 

Just before the first Democratic debate of 2016 will be the first Republican debate of 2016 which will be held at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center in North Charleston, South Carolina.  Looking ahead to the election, the next Democratic debate will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016.  It will be sponsored by PBS and held in Wisconsin.  The second Republican Debate of 2016 will air five days earlier on February 6, 2016 at St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.
