Marvel's 'Iron Fist' Casts 'Game of Thrones' Star Finn Jones as Danny Rand

Isn’t it a fantastic time to be a Marvel fan at the moment? Not only does the Marvel Cinematic Universe come up with pretty spiffy blockbusters, your TV in the living room, too, would be able to offer a fair bit of Marvel entertainment on the smaller screen. Netflix has played a pretty pivotal role behind that, pushing out some of the better Marvel superhero TV series, and it does not look as though the creative juices are about to run out soon. Let us take a look at three characters from Marvel that are on Netflix, and the latest developments surrounding them.

Iron Fist
It has been made official that Iron Fist is all set to debut in March next year, so what else about another mystical character that would certainly have plenty of things to talk about with Dr. Stephen Strange? First of all, The Defenders would be arriving next year -- which means that Iron Fist is the remaining piece in Marvel’s Netflix puzzle.

Scott Buck would be the showrunner for the Iron Fist series on Netflix, and he certainly has quite the CV to match -- including Dexter and Six Feet Under. Buck shared when he was first introduced, “I’ve always been drawn to writing complex, intriguing characters, and that’s what most excites me about the opportunity to bring Danny Rand and Iron Fist to life with Marvel on Netflix.”

Your ears will definitely appreciate the fact that Trevor Morris will score Iron Fist, and it should be a feast for the senses, since Morris was the one who provided the music for History's Vikings. Expect Iron Fist to arrive on Netflix this coming March 17, 2017.

The Punisher
Frank Castle is a man who has been hard done by. He is definitely patriotic, but at the expense of his family, turning him into a brooding anti-hero. Also known as The Punisher, he is all set to debut in his very own TV series, where it will happen next year on Netflix. After all, the likes of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Daredevil are forerunners, and judging by the previous ratings, The Punisher should also obtain quite the reception.

The Punisher holds the reputation of being a spinoff series from the highly acclaimed Daredevil, with actor Jon Bernthal being back again as Frank Castle. Bernthal will be accompanied by the likes of Ben Barnes, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Amber Rose Revah, in addition to Deborah Ann Woll. No definite date has been set for The Punisher to debut, but it will definitely be within 2017

Luke Cage Season 2
Last but not least, Luke Cage Season 2 is set to hit in due time, too -- if it gets renewed by Netflix, of course. Otherwise known as Power Man in Marvel canon, Luke Cage has been quite the hit on Netflix to date, and certainly fans of the superhero are looking forward to the second season already. We do know that in the comics, Shades and Comanche, two of his friends (who became his enemies) do have their very own set of powers that are able to rival those that Cage possesses.

Shades' power (notice the name reference) source would be his specialized sunglasses, while Comanche fights with a set of special arrows -- perhaps inspired by Hawkeye? It would be nice to see Luke Cage Season 2 feature the mentioned Marvel villains show off their skills and abilities.

We are looking forward to Netflix announcing the renewal of Luke Cage Season 2 sooner rather than later. .
