Netflix hasn't released an official date just yet, but the company's Chief Content Officer Ted Saranos gives some appalling news. On a press release, he says that Netflix can only produce two shows a year, so 2017 is definitely not the year for Daredevil 3. He confirms though that it will be launched sometime in 2018.

Another action-themed series to watch out for is Jessica Jones, which is rumored to be coming out with its Season 2 after the successful commencement of its first series. However, no dates have been released just yet and many speculate that it is highly likely that it will be released within 2017 or early 2018.

Jessica Jones, another Marvel creation, features series namesake Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter) defending her stand against a relationship with Kilgrave (played by David Tennant).

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg tells the press that it is indeed true that The Defenders and Jessica Jones Season 2 are both coming out, but she is still unsure as to the dates of release. She says that personally she would prefer Jessica Jones Season 2 to be aired first before The Defenders. However, she confirms she is not in the position to decide on that issue.

Luke Cage, another Marvel TV series that's been aired on Netflix, is speculated to have its Season 2 released very soon. This rumor came in with the series' immediate success among Marvel fans, along with the first season's cliff-hanging ending. This type of ending is typical of Marvel movies and series that hint on its audience that there is "something next to watch out for."

Luke Cage Season 1 was released in September 2016 and features Luke Cage's superhero journey. The character first appeared in another Marvel series, Jessica Jones, back in 2015.

With Netflix only releasing two shows a year, and with Daredevil Season 3 and Jessica Jones Season 2 both in line, fans may most likely not expect Luke Cage to be coming this 2017 and 2018. Based on fan speculations, Luke Cage Season 2 might be released in 2019.

Daredevil Season 3, Jessica Jones Season 2, and Luke Cage Season 2's late releases can be good tradeoffs though with the release of The Defenders with an all-star cast. Matt Murdock, who plays Daredevil/ Charlie Cox, is joining the cast of this new series. He will be working with co-stars Krysten Ritter (as Jessica Jones), Mike Colter (as Luke Cage), and Finn Jones (as Iron Fist). The series will be released this early 2017.
