As expected, Netflix will release many new shows and films in September 2015. Sadly, there will be a number of movies that are leaving the popular online streaming service.

Notable movies that are gone by the end of this month include World War Z, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Transformers: Age of Extinction and Star Trek: Into Darkness.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the reason for this is because of Netflix's recent fallout with Epix. In fact, rival Hulu has just stepped into the void to finalize a multi-year deal with Epix.

Even so, Netflix seems unfazed by recent turn of events. The company has recently announced a shift toward original programming - some of which will see release this coming September.

"While many of these movies are popular, they are also widely available on cable and other subscription platforms at the same time as they are on Netflix and subject to the same drawn-out licensing periods," wrote Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandoson the Netflix blog. "Through our original films and some innovative licensing arrangements with the movie studios, we are aiming to build a better movie experience for you."
