Going into Week 16, the Patriots is ranked 1st in AFC East and No. 3 in the entire AFC league, trailing just behind the AFC West teams Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs.

Since the improbable comeback 34-31 win against the Denver Broncos, Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady has led New England back on track to the AFC's No. 1 seat until losing to Miami Dolphins 20-24 in Week 15.

While Brady has put down 23 pass touchdowns at 4,049 pass yards, running back Stevan Ridley has put down 7 rush touchdowns at 645 rush yards. New England's overall offense is ranked 8th in the league, and sixth for points scored (26.4) and pass yards (272.4) and eight for yards (390.7)per game on average.

Meanwhile, Ravens is ranked 2nd in AFC North. Their quarterback Joe Flacco has led his team with 18 touchdowns at 3,460 yards. Although the Ravens' offense is placed among the league's last 10 teams, Baltimore's solid defense, yielding only 19.8 points (7th), 102.4 rush yards (7th), yards (334.0) on average per game, gives their offensive lineup more opportunities to defeat stronger offensive teams. They are ranked among the top 10 offensive team in the league.

On the defensive end, the Pats continue to rank last in their rush defense, giving their opponents the opportunity to counter their top scoring offense. While New England makes up their defensive holes with relentless offensive plays, the Ravens are on a roll in winning every game since Week 12.

According to the two teams' offensive and defensive comparison, the Pats dominates in offense, but Ravens score higher in their defense. Thus, the game today would be a close match with the odds going towards New England.
