After more than a decade as the lead singer of the Newsboys, Michael Tait has officially parted ways with the band, marking a significant shift in the Christian rock group’s lineup. The remaining members—Jeff Frankenstein, Jody Davis, Duncan Phillips, and Adam Agee—have assured fans that they will continue forward, embracing a new season of music and ministry.

In a statement addressing the change, the band expressed both gratitude for Tait’s contributions and enthusiasm for what lies ahead. "This is a new chapter for us, and we’re excited for what’s to come," the band shared. They acknowledged that the transition has been a period of adjustment but emphasized their commitment to continuing the legacy of the Newsboys.

One of the first steps in this new phase is the release of a reimagined version of their song How Many Times, which will now be titled How Many Times (Oh How You Love Me). The song, originally written by Adam Agee after joining the band, will be available to fans on March 14. The group has hinted at additional music in the works, reassuring their audience that the band remains strong despite the change.

Fans have responded with a mix of emotions, expressing appreciation for Tait’s years with the band while also showing support for the remaining members. Many are eager to see what the future holds for both Tait and the Newsboys as they embark on separate musical paths.

As the band moves forward, they remain focused on their core mission—creating music that inspires and uplifts. They continue to thank their fans for their unwavering support and look forward to sharing new projects soon.
