Revealed in May, the upcoming Bloodborne DLC remains a mystery amidst internet rumors that remain in circulation. The previous Artorias of the Abyss DLC was well received by Bloodborne fans. Hence, fan hype has gradually been building up for the past months.

So far, the game's developer From Software has revealed very little. However, there are still tidbits of information that was leaked out over the months since the DLC was first revealed. For this article, we will look at all of them.

Bloodborne Director is Split Between Two Projects

Currently, Bloodborne director Hidetaka Miyazaki is dividing his time between Dark Souls 3 and the next Bloodborne DLC.

"The bottom line is I think I can do it. I believe I can do both the Bloodborne DLC and Dark Souls 3," he insisted. "This isn't the first time I've had to work on two projects at the same time." Miyazaki insisted during an interview with GameSpot earlier in August.

Miyazaki brought up his past experience as an indicator of that capability.

"When I was doing Demon's Souls, I was also working on Armoured Core: For Answer. Even for the original Dark Souls, I acted as producer and director."

Also, the veteran game director revealed that he does not work alone. During development for Bloodborne, Miyazaki worked closely with a "director-level" colleague. Apparently, the same strategy is being applied for Dark Souls 3.

"As long as I am listed as game director on the end credits, there's a certain level of quality the game needs to meet. I can guarantee that [Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne's DLC] will reach that," he said.

Next Bloodborne DLC Release Date Still a Mystery

In late June, Kotaku tried to extract more information during an interview with Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony's PlayStation game development studios worldwide.

Yoshida kept his comments deliberately vague by stating that the new DLC's development was "quite a sizable effort." However, he also said that more details will be unveiled in 2015. When asked about the release date, Yoshida gave an equally cryptic response.

"I'd like to play it this year," he answered.

Developed by From Software, Bloodborne is published by Sony's videogame arm. Since its release, the game has garnered critical acclaim and relatively positive fan response. Bloodborne was especially praised for its atmospheric visuals and rich combat gameplay. As of April 2015, the game has sold one million copies.
