Republican voters traditionally have plenty of choices for presidential candidates which peaked at 17 in August last year. In the wake of the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire Primary, the GOP hopefuls are shrinking fast as some candidates could be dropped out.

Now, we'll give you the projected candidates who will qualify in the upcoming Republican presidential debate on Feb. 13 in Greenville, South Carolina. The event will air on CBS and likely feature either a five- or six-candidate field.

For GOP candidates like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, John Kasich, Jeb Bush and Donald Trump, they are already  qualified by virtue of their victory in the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary. Meanwhile, Ben Carson is expected to perform poorly in New Hampshire primary and his supported could wane elsewhere, according to CNN Money.

CBS News published their criteria for candidates. In order to be invited in the Feb. 13 debate, candidates will  have to meet one of the following criteria:

• Ranked among the top five finishers in the New Hampshire Republican primary

• Placed among the top five in an average of national polls and South Carolina polls conducted between January 15 and February 12

• Included among the top three in the Iowa caucus

Chris Christie and Marco Rubio made plenty of news headlines after their last week's debate in New Hampshire. Rubio made it to the top five in the primary, but it seems that the debate did not do good for Christie. The New Jersey Governor only finished sixth place in New Hampshire.

According to Heavy, even if Christie is still in the presidential race before February 13, it's unlikely he'll qualify for the debate in South Carolina. 

On Wednesday, Christie announced the suspension of his campaign. 

As for Carly Fiorina, If the polls are to be trusted, she is under threat of being excluded from the upcoming GOP debate.

Fiorina only finished seventh place in New Hampshire but has vowed to stay in the presidential race, but she is unlikely to qualify. For Jim Gilmore, he only got 1 percent of the vote in both Iowa and New Hampshire, he has has virtually no shot.

The Feb. 13 GOP debate will be moderated by "Face the Nation" anchor John Dickerson. He will be joined by CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Major Garrett and  Kimberley Strassel of  the Wall Street Journal as panelists.
