Dez Bryant will not be able to join the Dallas Cowboys when they take on the San Francisco 49ers at Week 4 because of his injury. But aside from this, he could face serious repercussions from the team because of how he handled his current situation.

Bryant suffered the injury during Week 3 after his leg got caught under Christian Jones of the Chicago Bears. Although he had X-rays following the game, he was supposed to undergo MRI to determine his exact condition.

However, against the advise of doctors, his teammates and the Dallas organization, Bryant decided to skip his MRI appointment. He also failed to show up to two team meetings following his injury.

According to Cowboys coach Jason Garett, Bryant's absence was caused by his fear of hearing about the bad news about his condition. He's probably scared that doctors might tell him that he's out for the season.

"He's a very, very passionate person," Garrett said. "He loves football. He loves his team. He's a driven guy and his response to this was not the right one. It was an understandable response given his personality and everything he puts into this."

"I'm not excusing any behavior that he has," he added. "We address it. We solve it. We move on. There are repercussions for his action, and we move forward."

Bryant also admitted through a Twitter post that what he did was wrong. However, this doesn't change the fact that he acted irresponsibly regarding his condition.

His behavior, coupled with the fact that he might miss four to six weeks on the field, could lead to serious consequences for the team. And, if things don't work out well for Bryant and if he's ruled out for the rest of the season, he might eventually get waived by the team.

Letting go of Bryant will certainly serve as a big loss for the Cowboys especially since he's one of their star receivers. However, keeping him on the payroll despite not being able to play for a long time doesn't seem like a smart move by the team.
