The Denver Broncos found an unexpected champion in the person of Von Miller during the Super Bowl 50 face off against the Carolina Panthers. With the rest of world focused on Peyton Manning and Cam Newton, the other members of the NFL teams started to fade in the background. However, the phenomenal performance of Miller in the Super Bowl pushed the linebacker in the spotlight.

As the NFL offseason starts and the euphoria from the Super Bowl 50 match die down, the Denver Broncos are all business. Immediately following the win of the NFL team, rumors started to float around that the front office will be using their franchise tag to keep Brock Osweiler. With Manning still mulling over his plans after the remarkable feat this Super Bowl 50, the Denver Broncos are expected to seek ways not to let the backup quarterback walk away just yet. However, it looks like the Denver Broncos are willing to risk Osweiler as sources disclosed that Miller might land the franchise tag and not the quarterback.

With the March 1 deadline looming over the NFL team, the Denver Broncos are reportedly more keen on figuring out ways to keep Miller. Without any final plans involving the Super Bowl 50 MVP, sources believe that the linebacker will stand to earn $14.129 million guaranteed money next year, according to ESPN.

"I'm excited about it," said John Elway of the negotiations with Miller. The Denver Broncos general manager added, "So far it's been good, we're in the ballpark, at least I believe so ... I think we're in the ballpark ... he's a guy we're going to keep around."

Should the deal push through as predicted by the sports analysts, then Miller is set to become the highest paid defensive player in the NFL. That is, the linebacker is expected to get a deal worth more than $100 million - the "ballpark" figure Elway hinted in his comments. For his part, Miller appears to be confident that the business talks will be beneficial and amicable.

"If I was with any other organization, if I was with any other team, maybe I'd be worried about everything, but I've got John Elway. He's played, he's had experience with this whole process," shared Miller. The Super Bowl 50 MVP added, "I feel comfortable. Me and John's relationship is great. He was there when I was going through stuff and he never wavered. I feel like we won't waver now either. It will be a great experience, and it will be peaceful -- there's no reason for it not to be."
