The competition for the starting quarterback position in the Denver Broncos roster is getting more exciting by the day. In the past, the job was automatically given to Peyton Manning with Brock Osweiler tagging along as the backup. However, the Super Bowl team now face three promising candidates and they need to choose a leader soon. If reports are to be believed, the entry of rookie Paxton Lynch just pushed Trevor Siemian back in the third quarterback position. However, can Mark Sanchez really maintain his lead?

As the backup quarterback of Sam Bradford in the Philadelphia Eagles under the Chip Kelly and DeMarco Murray era, the move of Mark Sanchez to the Denver Broncos roster was surprising. Although he is a good quarterback, his stint in the NFL had been marred with fumbles so fans of the Von Miller squad are still wary over the possibility of Mark Sanchez landing the post vacated by the great Peyton Manning.

"The bottom line is we're gonna give them equal reps," shared Gary Kubiak when asked of the status of the three quarterbacks competing for the starting role. The Denver Broncos head coach added, "It's an open competition. We've laid out our plan of how we're gonna rep them and those types of things, so that we're getting an equal look at all of them."

Kubiak further noted, "Tomorrow we line up. Mark's gonna go first, Trevor is gonna go second, Paxton is gonna go third. That will change on a day-to-day basis and how we do things. We just want to give them all an equal opportunity. As far as making a decision, I don't have a timeline on it right now. I want to get to work."

Although the Denver Broncos claim that the quarterback competition in the roster still involves all three aspiring leaders, rumors are rife that a Trevor Siemian trade is in the works. At the moment, a number of NFL teams are struggling with the position. If the Denver Broncos offer a quarterback, who trained under the Peyton Manning era, teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts will definitely be interested. In fact, the New England Patriots might offer something interesting if it means having a reliable backup for Tom Brady.
