The Green Bay Packers were early favorites to battle it out against the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl 51. With the incredible performance of Aaron Rodgers in leading the Eddie Lacy team, fans anticipated the quarterback face off against Tom Brady. With the offseason in full swing, reports are circulating that the team might experiment on a cheap Mark Sanchez contract going in to the next season.

The Dallas Cowboys found themselves without a reliable veteran presence when Tony Romo fell to his injuries last season. When they signed a Mark Sanchez contract, Zek Elliot and the rest of the team reportedly regarded it as a temporary solution to help Dak Prescott adjust to the league. With his remarkable rookie season, it looks like the former Philadelphia Eagles star has done his job well.

Rumors are rife that the Dallas Cowboys are looking to sign off the Mark Sanchez contract since Dak Prescott appears to be thriving on his own this time. In addition, a Tony Romo contract has yet to be decided so the Jerry Jones team wants to keep their options open. This puts the former New York Jets quarterback in the free agent market once again. Among the takers are reportedly the Green Bay Packers. However, they seem to reject paying a high price for a Mark Sanchez contract.

One of the most pressing matters linked to the Mark Sanchez contract is the reliability of the NFL star. From the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys, the veteran quarterback has shown his inability to play well in high pressure situations. This would not bode well with any team but especially not with the Green Bay Packers. In his recent comments about their Super Bowl journey, Aaron Rodgers pointed out that their victories in the season turned out to be disappointments since they failed to make it to the last stage.

"For us, to get all the way where we got after being 4-6 was spectacular, but it's all about championships when you play in Titletown and the expectations are high and we're disappointed we didn't finish it off," commented Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl run last season.
