NFL Rumors: Green Bay Packers Trade Eddie Lacy; Aaron Rodgers 'Frustrated' During Face off With Panthers' Cam Newton

The Green Bay Packers had been among the undefeated NFL teams this season - a feat that gained the respect of the football community as Aaron Rodgers led the squad sans wide receiver and co-leader Jordy Nelson by his side. However, Green Bay Packers' winning streak ended following their defeat at the hands of Peyton Manning's Denver Broncos; the Green Bay Packers also bowed down to the ferocious Carolina Panthers 29-37.

"It's a frustrating game," admitted Aaron Rodgers, according to ESPN. "It's exhilarating and also frustrating when you make a mistake like that. I had the easy opportunity there for a pitch-and-catch touchdown, but I got scared by something. It was a mistake. I will be thinking about that one on the ride home."

The NFL match against the Carolina Panthers gives the Green Bay Packers a 6-2 record this regular season. The face off against the Cam Newton football squad saw Rodgers complete 25 of his 48 passes for a total of 369 yards. The Green Bay Packers star quarterback also pitched in four touchdowns against one interception. Meanwhile, Randall Cobb contributed one touchdown in four receptions as well as 99 yards. Devante Adams raked in 93 yards in seven receptions. As for James Starks, he recorded 39 yards in 10 attempts.

It could be recalled that Starks has been standing in for Eddie Lacy as the star running back of the Green Bay Packers. As some sports analysts pointed out, the once stellar RB of Rodgers' football squad has been struggling with some issues ranging from poor physical form to his inability to properly execute plays - factors that now work to the benefit of Starks. Critics have noted that Lacy's weight is consistently posting a concern for his performance in the field; while others shared that the series of injuries he incurred might just be catching up with him. Either way, Starks has managed to overtake the prized running back this season and this kind of observation does not bode well for a team eyeing the Super Bowl.

"I'm not losing patience with anybody," shared Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, referring to the discussion that disclosed Lacy's dwindling numbers this NFL season. He went on to state, "I love this football team. This is a great bunch of guys. They don't come much better than Eddie Lacy. He's not doing some things well right now, but he's trying to correct them, and it's my job to help him."
