The departure of Brock Osweiler from the Denver Broncos locker room came as a surprise especially in light of the retirement of Peyton Manning. With the decision of the Tom Brady nemesis to hang his cleats, NFL fans expected Osweiler to be the main quarterback of the Super Bowl 50 team. The younger star, later on, surprised the football community when he opted to leave the Denver Broncos and sign a massive contract with the Houston Texans. However, Osweiler is said to be regretting his move to the JJ Watt squad and now wants back in the Von Miller team to compete against Mark Sanchez and Paxton Lynch for the starting role.

The 25-year-old former understudy of Peyton Manning inked a contract worth $72 million with the Houston Texans. This would keep Osweiler with the said NFL team until 2020. To add icing to the cake, the Houston Texans also gave Osweiler a guaranteed money of $37 million. However, rumors are circulating that the young quarterback might be reconsidering his options and wondering whether he made the right move of leaving a Super Bowl contender squad.

"You never know what a quarterback can do until he gets in there, gets underneath the gun," shared John Elway of Osweiler. The Denver Broncos general manager added, "I think he proved a lot to us. He's a guy that is a tough guy. He's a guy that will stand in there. He can make all the throws. Obviously, you always like to have a little bit more consistency, but that's what young guys continue to get better and better (at). I was really excited with the way Brock played. We wouldn't have been world champs without Brock."

Despite his encouraging words, Osweiler still opted to leave the Denver Broncos and pursue a better offer with the Houston Texans. At this point, the quarterback is learning the ropes in the JJ Watt squad. However, did he just miss out on the chance to become the next Peyton Manning? Did he let go of the chance to leave a legacy with someone as promising as Paxton Lynch in exchange for higher pay? If so, does this mean Osweiler will be back with the Denver Broncos soon?

The answer might be in the negative. With the training camp heating up, Osweiler shared his excitement in learning the playbook of the Houston Texans. More importantly, the former Denver Broncos quarterback has taken it upon himself to forge better relationships with his teammates and the coaching staff.

"Just to start OTAs and start meetings and start talking ball and throwing and being in the weight room together, getting back into shape, it's fun, it's exciting," said Osweiler of his plans with the Houston Texans. The quarterback added, "One of the most important things of this time period, I believe is getting to know your teammates. Getting to know who you're going into battle with and going to dinner and hanging out off the field and getting to know families and things like that."
