The fall of Johnny Manziel came as no surprise to everyone in the NFL. Despite the talent of the Heisman Trophy winner, no other teams in the league have stepped up to express interest in Johnny Football after his exit from the Cleveland Browns. Not even the teams that are widely known to be generous with second chances, such as the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings, have dared to touch the infamous quarterback. In a league filled with uncertainties in this post, the lack of interest in Manziel is a clear indication of how far he has fallen.

In the past months, the value of Manziel - both in and out of the football field - has declined considerably. The previous weeks saw him lose sponsors with Nike as the most recent company to drop him. Although Denver Broncos star Von Miller has been singing his praises, the Super Bowl 50 team has yet to officially open their doors to Johnny Football. The recent decision of his agent to fire Manziel also added to the long list of things going wrong with his life. So, what is the plan of the unemployed quarterback now?

It looks like Johnny Football is finally realizing the extent of the damage in his football career. In a rare occasion, Manziel opened up about his issues and shared his plans for the future. Addressing the problems plaguing his NFL career, the quarterback sought the support of everyone around him.

"I'm hoping to take care of the issues in front of me right now so I can focus on what I have to do if I want to play in 2016," said Manziel in a statement. He added, "I also continue to be thankful to those who really know me and support me."

In addition to his constant partying despite the demands of the football season, Manziel's career took a dive when he was tagged in a domestic violence case. The charges eventually pushed the Cleveland Browns to let him go and prompted the likes of the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles to distance themselves from his name. Moreover, Manziel earned the ire of some NFL stars who feel that he disrespected the profession.

"I'm pretty sure I would never have been Johnny Manziel's roommate," said Shannon Sharpe of the troubled quarterback. The NFL Hall of Fame star added, "I took football seriously. Football is not a game anymore. It's different. People's lives and jobs are at risk."

Sharpe also slammed the promise of Manziel to mend his ways. According to the famed tight end, the former Cleveland Browns star has failed to show how serious he is to pursue a career in the NFL. He said, "How long are you gonna buy his story that he's interested (in playing football)?"

Sharpe added, "Once he got drafted, football is all about business. There's no more games. It's a business. He's shown no remorse. He's shown no willingness to change his behavior."
