Despite having two promising quarterbacks on the roster, Jerry Jones still reportedly wants more. To be more specific, he is said to remain interested in Johnny Manziel.

The former Cleveland Browns star, who had been a promising rookie following his Heisman Trophy accolade and impressive stats, is now out of a job and could even land in jail. The death of the Johnny Football dream came after his former girlfriend accused him of domestic abuse. This led the Cleveland Browns, who stood behind Manziel amid his excessive partying and substance abuse issues, to finally release him.

However, it looks like not all hope is lost for Johnny Football. Rumors are rife that the Dallas Cowboys, specifically Jones, remain interested in signing him with the team. Prior to his downfall, Manziel greatly impressed the Dallas Cowboys owner. Despite the quarterback's concerns off the gridiron, he appears to not have lost his appeal to Jones.

"I don't have any sense of how I feel right now other than I just really like him and know him and like him," shared Jones of Manziel. The Dallas Cowboys owner added, "I really appreciate all the positive things he's done while at [Texas] A&M, what he did as a Heisman Trophy winner and what he is about [in] football. We have that in common."

Jones further stated of Johnny Football, "Consequently it really makes me dwell on his getting things in better shape for him so he can do not just football, but anything. That's because I have an appreciation for what he did do. You can't take that away from him. He really did something special for A&M, football and for all of us. We'll worry about the future later."

Does this mean that Johnny Football can still stage a comeback in the NFL? Apart from Jones, the Denver Broncos are reportedly interested in considering Manziel as part of their roster. While fans of the Super Bowl 50 champs may not see this as a possibility, Von Miller himself openly stands as the backer of Johnny Football.

At the moment, no official offer has been made to Johnny Manziel. Speculations point to one thing in common, though - the NFL teams will only start to consider the former Cleveland Browns star once he cleans up his act and shows an ability to turn over a new leaf.
