Reports claim that the New York Jets decided to sign Tim Tebow to a minimum contract as a backup plan for Ryan Fitzpatrick - a deal that the latter seemed to reject. The Tim Tebow NFL dream seems to be a never-ending quest for the former Heisman Trophy winner. While a number of sports analysts believe that the Christian star should simply move on, the ex-Florida Gators quarterback refuses to do so. In his recent interviews, Tim Tebow made clear that he remains hopeful regarding his NFL future.

"I mean, for me, I'm in the best shape I've ever been in," shared Tim Tebow. He added, "I'm still young, I still feel really good. So is that something that I feel like I can be an effective quarterback in the NFL? Yeah, I really do feel like I could be. But I think at the same time, there are a lot of other things that I'm doing that I love and that I'm blessed to do."

Before the New York Jets became a Ryan Fitzpatrick squad, the NFL team was briefly led by Tim Tebow. Among the football teams that benefited from the Christian star's talent are the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots. Needless to say, Tebow worked with the greats like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Hence, the New York Jets are reportedly considering putting him back in the gridiron.

However, it looks like Ryan Fitzpatrick might not be amenable to the addition of Tim Tebow. Rumors are rife that the New York Jets quarterback is opposed to signing another backup. While there are no comments from either party regarding the matter, it appears that Tim Tebow is prepared to handle the rejection. According to the Christian star, he has other projects in line if the NFL chooses to once again close its doors on him.

Tebow said, "Whether that's being part of college football, whether that's -- I just wrote another book -- whether that's what my foundation is doing in 16 countries."

He added, "I'm extremely busy doing a lot of things I love to do. Football is just one thing that I love to do. But it can't become your everything because eventually you're not going to be able to play, whether that's today or five years from now. And if it's your everything, when you're done what do you do?"
