The Oakland Raiders suffered a devastating loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFL preseason games. With the Khalil Mack team pegged as early favorites in the league, this loss to the Aaron Rodgers squad had put a huge blow on their confidence especially getting in the regular season. However, it looks like the Oakland Raiders have a backup plan as a Tim Tebow NFL comeback is said to be in the works with the Derek Carr squad.

One of the most notable issues of the Oakland Raiders is the lack of confidence in the leadership of Derek Carr. Some fans feel that the quarterback does not have the authority of leaders like Tom Brady, Cam Newton and Peyton Manning. Hence, a backup who can boost the morale of the team is foreseen to be a good addition to the Oakland Raiders lineup this offseason.

"I don't know what the reason was [for the offensive struggles]," shared Derek Carr of the issues that plagued the team in their match against the Green Bay Packers. The Oakland Raiders quarterback added, "It is hard to know, but I definitely felt that on both sides, throwing it and running it. I think it is nothing to worry about. We are going to be just fine. We will get all those things corrected and move on.

He further shared, "We obviously want to play better, but at the same time, without game planning you just have to play football and sometimes it works like last week, and sometimes it doesn't."

Aside from the problems in the gridiron, the Oakland Raiders are said to be in dire need of a unifier in the squad. Hence, rumors are rife that a Tim Tebow contract is hoped to be the solution to their locker room division. Will it work?

Throughout the years, a Tim Tebow NFL return has been the battle cry of the former Heisman Trophy winner. Despite his successful stints with the Denver Broncos - a career that ended when Peyton Manning agreed to become the team's quarterback - the Christian star has yet to get back to his former glory in the NFL. Will the Oakland Raiders give him that chance?

At this point, no official comment has been given by any of the parties involved. Hence, the idea of a Tim Tebow NFL comeback as the backup of Derek Carr remains a speculation. While Oakland Raiders fans are thrilled over the possibility, the franchise has yet to make an actual offer to the Christian star.
