The NFL Draft 2016 is a thrilling display of quick thinking and athleticism among football teams and the athletes. In a promising move, the Philadelphia Eagles may have sealed the fate of its roster when they signed Carson Wentz on Day 1 of the draft. This came despite the threats of Sam Bradford, who got insulted over the fact that his NFL team appears to be looking for a player who can be the future of the squad. Given the recent turn of events, it has become quite apparent that the Philadelphia Eagles do not see Bradford as the leader of the long-term leader of the group.

"Winning is huge," proclaimed Wentz. He added, "I think winning solves a lot of problems in organizations and college programs, as well, and I think, like Coach Pederson said, 'I bleed winning,' or whatever was the quote there. I think being around a winning environment will help translate into the NFL. I'm antsy and ready to go."

The entry of Carson Wentz further amplified the divide in the Philadelphia Eagles roster. A no-nonsense player, the North Dakota State star barged into the NFL team's locker room and confidently stated his desire to lead the group to greatness - an attitude that will not bode well for his relationship with Bradford who also wants the same treatment. However, the Philadelphia Eagles front office seem confident that the two quarterbacks will work out soon. In fact, the execs are adamant on their refusal to release Bradford despite his requests for an NFL trade.

"When we hired Doug, we talked about it and we talked about the importance of the quarterback position," Howie Roseman shared of his discussions with Doug Peterson. The Philadelphia Eagles exec added, "We're picking 13th, so our priority is to re-sign Sam [Bradford]. Let's get Sam in here and make sure he's with these guys. Give him a chance to grow. Let's get a veteran quarterback in here who's experienced in Doug's system so he can help on and off the field, come in and play and win games if he needs to."

Roseman continued, "Then, let's draft a quarterback. Let's get a young guy. Let's find a guy who we think can be the long-term answer. When you're picking 13th, and you don't have a second-round pick, it's pretty daunting."

Meanwhile, rumors are rife that an early competition between Bradford and Wentz has already started. In an interview following his drafting by the Philadelphia Eagles, the North Dakotan star shared that he is not familiar with the style of Bradford. Wentz further noted that his earlier days consisted of looking into clips of Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.

"I've seen him play a little bit," said Wentz of Bradford. He added, "Obviously I know that he was a top pick and everything not too many years ago. Obviously I know he was with the Rams and everything and now here. But, you know, I haven't watched a ton of film on him. I watch a lot of film on guys like Brady and Manning and Rodgers, those type of things."
