The quarterback drama in the Philadelphia Eagles roster is about to get more intense as a Michael Vick contract is expected to be signed this NFL offseason. With Sam Bradford and Carson Wentz competing for the starting position, the entry of the former Pittsburgh Steelers veteran is an unsettling thought for the two younger quarterbacks. Moreover, analysts point to the experience of Michael Vick as a leader in the gridiron as his greatest advantage.

A four-time Pro Bowl star, Michael Vick brings to the table a wide array of skills and experiences. These factors greatly contribute to his package - one that surpasses those presented by Sam Bradford and Carson Wentz. With a virtually newly assembled roster, the Philadelphia Eagles are in dire need of a veteran to lead the entire team. Can they find this in Michael Vick?

"If the call was made today, I would be ready tomorrow," shared Michael Vick of his efforts to keep in shape and stay focused on his NFL comeback. He added, "The hardest part would be leaving my wife and the family, but I still love football. I want to dedicate 2016 to football as I'm doing now. It takes a lot of dedication to do what I'm doing and come out here and work out as hard as I can. It's tough not being signed, but I have optimism. I just have to be ready. I'm putting everything I have into this because I love it."

The veteran quarterback further shared, "I have to keep those legs going, keep them firing. I'm blessed to be 36 and still be able to move the way I do. I'm trying to use that to my advantage, keep an edge. I'm trying to make sure I'm covering my bases on everything. "

Michael Vick is no stranger to the Philadelphia Eagles as he played for the team in 2009 following his prison stint. Despite a rocky start with the NFL team, he was eventually declared the starting quarterback for the season. However, injuries led him to give up the starting role to then backup Nick Foles. In 2014, the Philadelphia Eagles ended their contract with Michael Vick.

The 36-year-old quarterback later on signed with the New York Jets as the backup for Geno Smith. However, he also impressed Rex Ryan enough to take over the starting role in the regular NFL season. A year later, Michael Vick was playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers where he received intense backlash. Despite the public outrage over the deal, the NFL team named Michael Vick the backup for starter Ben Roethlisberger.

At the moment, the Philadelphia Eagles have yet to comment on a potential Michael Vick contract this NFL season. Apart from the Sam Bradford team, other football squads reportedly interested in signing the veteran quarterback are the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers.
