The San Francisco 49ers are in dire need of a quarterback they can build a team around following the exit of Colin Kaepernick and the impending free agency of co-starter Blaine Gabbert. Among the potential stars to sign for the position, Chip Kelly is said to be looking closely at acquiring a Brock Osweiler trade this offseason. This deal, which many deem possible, came forth when the Cleveland Browns disclosed their openness to entertaining offers for the former Denver Broncos quarterback.

Despite his Super Bowl ring when he and Peyton Manning helped lead the Denver Broncos to defeat the Carolina Panthers of Cam Newton in 2016, Brock Osweiler turned out to be quite a disappointment to his next team. The Houston Texans, which moved assets to sign the then sought after quarterback, decided to wash their hands off the star this offseason. Immediately after they made their intentions known to the league, a Brock Osweiler trade was executed with the Cleveland Browns. However, it seems that the quarterback might be on the move again.

"Brock could be on our team or we could trade him. There's lots of options out there and like I said you guys should cover it with Sashi (Brown) tomorrow," said Jimmy Haslam of the newly minted Cleveland Browns quarterback.

He added, "We're excited about getting the second-round pick and we're excited to add a guy to our roster who has won games in the NFL. We now have eight first- or second-round picks in the next two years. We're excited about that."

Rumors are rife that the San Francisco 49ers are first in line for a Brock Osweiler trade. Many point to Chip Kelly as the reason behind this possible negotiation. According to reports, the former Philadelphia Eagles coach believe that the quarterback has the potential to be even greater than Peyton Manning in the gridiron. While this remains as an NFL trade rumor, the possibility is a welcome information by fans of the San Francisco 49ers. With the disastrous seasons under Colin Kaepernick, signing a Brock Osweiler trade could bolster their chances of gaining more confidence in and out of the gridiron.

What do you think? Will the San Francisco 49ers be a better option for a Brock Osweiler trade? Can he finally go back to his old form - the one that had him successfully fill in for Peyton Manning in the Denver Broncos - under the tutelage of Chip Kelly?
