The Seattle Seahawks had a disappointing NFL season. Coming off two Super Bowl highs, fans of the football squad got sorely disappointed to find Russell Wilson and his team fail to make it to the finals. However, some supporters of the Seattle Seahawks already had an inkling of this possibility even before the season started. When the NFL team entered the year without Kam Chancellor, it became immediately apparent that the group was in big trouble.

The issues worsened when a rumored rift between Wilson and Marshawn Lynch emerged. The two veteran stars have been speculated to not see eye to eye in a couple of things on and off the field. However, the rumor mill went on overdrive following the social media posts of the running back which many assumed to be directed against the quarterback. Subsequently, the Beast Mode found himself sidelined after incurring injuries. These issues coupled with the physical condition of Lynch purportedly led to his decision to quit the team.

However, reports are now surfacing that the Beast Mode remains in the Seattle Seahaws roster. At the moment, Lynch is still not listed in neither the reserved nor retired players. Hence, some fans of the NFL team are wondering whether the Seattle Seahawks convinced the running back to reconsider. So, will Lynch be back for the next NFL season? Does this mean a reunion for Chancellor, Wilson and the Beast Mode?

"Not really," responded John Schneider of the question on whether the Seattle Seahawks have plans in store for the Beast Mode. The NFL team general manager added, "We just haven't received his papers yet. He's been out of the country riding camels and stuff."

At the moment, Lynch is enjoying his time away from the gridiron. While his contract with the Seattle Seahawks is still active, it looks like both parties are not in any hurry to put an end to it. When the NFL team and the running back finally terminate his contract, Lynch stands to gain roughly $5 million - a notable decrease from the $11.5 million cap he would have gained if he stayed with the team until 2016. If the parties eventually negotiate on the terms, the Seattle Seahawks could potentially cut down some more expenses. The amount deducted then could be used for more cap space. With the upcoming NFL draft and free agency, all football teams are seeking ways to widen the cap room.

"We haven't decided that yet," Schneider shared of the future of Lynch's contract. He added, "It would create some cap room. I'm not sure we're at the point where we specifically need that. We just haven't decided whether or not we're going to wait until then to do it. But it would create some cap room."

Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks appear to be bent on repairing all the damaged relationship they had to contend with last NFL season. Chancellor, who once staged a holdout due to salary issues, is now an opely committed member of the football squad. For their part, Schneider also confirmed that the same concerns from the previous season will no longer hound the team this time around.

"Kam is an extremely prideful, spiritual person," described Schneider of Chancellor. He added, "There's a lot of family things that stay in house. That's one of them. I can't speak more highly of a guy. It was a tough, tough thing for everybody to go through last year, so I'm glad he feels that way."

He further noted, "Yeah, [Chancellor] he's a Seahawk, absolutely."
