However, reports are surfacing that Lynch might be coming back for another run with the Seattle Seahawks.

At the moment, the running back is still a part of the Seattle Seahawks roster. In a previous Gospel Herald report, it was discussed that quarterback Russell Wilson and safety Kam Chancellor are hoping that the Beast Mode will reconsider his retirement decision. Since months have passed after Lynch declared his decision to quit the life of a pro football star, his lack of interest in finalizing this move pushed fans to speculate that a comeback is possible.

If Lynch truly decides to let go of his Seattle Seahawks roster spot, Thomas Rawls is next in line to take over where the Beast Mode left off. The second-year NFL star, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury in 2015, is groomed as the successor of the semi-retired running back. Can Rawls handle the pressure? "There's no pressure," Rawls said when asked of his feelings for the looming NFL season when he is expected to fill in Lynch's role in the gridiron. The young Seattle Seahawks star added, "I just go out here, work hard, do my job. And I have an amazing coaching staff and amazing teammates that encourage me and also just have support back home fighting through all of this adversity. I rise up and rise to the occasion in times like this. So there is no pressure."

Rawls, despite his age, appears to have gained the confidence of the higher ups in the Seattle Seahawks front office. Commenting on the tailback's capacity to become a leader in the roster, John Schneider shared his belief in Rawls' talent. However, the Seattle Seahawks general manager feels that the young star will be more inspired to perform if he is presented with competition. Hence, the front office is eyeing more football stars to join the roster in an attempt to fill in the void left by Lynch.

"He definitely has the talent to do it, said Schneider of Rawls. He added, "[B]ut we are going get a couple of people in there to compete with him and he's recovering from a significant injury as well too."
