The Seattle Seahawks might be lacking depth at the running back position as both Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson are questionable for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Lynch and Jackson are currently dealing with injuries and are among seven Seahawks players who did not attend practice on Wednesday.

Coach Peter Carroll mentioned that 29-year-old Lynch has endured a "slightly pulled" hamstring. "We're going day to day on this thing and it will take us all the way until the end of the week before we know,He did make a lot of progress last week and was able to run around some and all that. He's worked really hard at it, so we'll see if we can get it done." Carroll said when asked about Lynch's condition.

On Thursday, the Seattle Seahawks' injury report reflected a change with the running back's status. Marshawn Lynch is now listed as an LP (limited participant) after being labeled DNP (did not participate). This allowed him to return to practice on a limited basis. He did so for the first time since September 24, three days prior to the team's win over the Chicago Bears where he got his hamstring injury.

Fred Jackson, another Seahawks running back, also has uncertain status for the upcoming game. On Monday's game versus the Detroit Lions, Jackson was seen leaving for the locker room after sustaining an ankle injury while in the game's third quarter.

"Fred looks pretty good. He had what we would call a high-ankle sprain, but he's getting around OK. A little bit of a surprise. We've got to see what that means. It's going to take him all week, too, to figure out whether he can run on it, but he is bouncing around a little bit and he's hopeful that he can pull it off. We'll see what happens," coach Carroll observed.

Aside from Lynch and Jackson, the other members who did not take part in the team's recent practice due to injury includes defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (shoulder), cornerbacks Tye Smith (hip), Tharold Simon (toe) and CB Marcus Burley (hand), and linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring).

Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said if both running backs are unable to play against Cincinnati, the team will have no choice but to rely on rookie running back Thomas Rawls and fullbacks Will Tukuafu and Derrick Coleman to carry the burden in the upcoming match versus the Cincinnati Bengal.
