Speculations are now running for the rumored launching of the next-generation console from Nintendo. Today's reports say the launching of Nintendo NX could happen sometime in May 2016, followed by a Legend of Zelda announcement. We've gathered all of the latest information on the web to give you updates on Nintendo NX release date, specs and rumors.

Forbes predicted that a Nintendo NX reveal might happen in April or May this year.  The website added that Nintendo has shied away from a traditional E3 event, so the company could announced the big news in a separate Direct event.

After the announcement of Nintendo NX, it will be followed by a Legend of Zelda Direct event. Why does a Zelda Direct event come after the NX reveal? It's because there's almost no way that the Wii U's Legend of Zelda is just the Wii U's Legend of Zelda.  The same source from Forbes say the new Zelda game will be a cross-platform NX title.

Nintendo does have a record of launching Zelda titles on multiple platforms. In 2006, Zelda: Twilight Princess became available on both the Wii and the GameCube.

For more Nintedo NX-related news, Game Rant published what could be the first ever photos of NX controller. The leaked image matches up to the previously reported Nintendo patent.

The image came from Alexander Maier of Dual Pixels. The alleged NX controller does not resemble any gaming console available in the market. Although the photo is a little bit blurry, the hardware looks like a futuristic technology. Aside from a controller, there's a small scrap of paper in the photograph that has "You will say wow!" written on it.

Furthermore, some websites studied the image on the photo if it is Photoshopped or substantially altered because it has been saved multiple times. But it shows that the image is consistent and didn't undergo any photo manipulation.

Of course, we advise our readers to take this information with a grain of salt. Nintendo has not yet confirmed or denied any of the speculations.

If rumors about the Nintendo NX's release in 2016 end up being true, it is not surprising that the Japanese video gaming company is now testing the controller, and the leaked photo could came from one the hardware's developer.
