No Man’s Sky Pre-Order, Release Date And Deals: Details About Explorer's Edition, Gameplay

No Man's Sky from indie developer Hello Games is expected to hit gaming shelves next month. This popular space adventure title contains unique gameplay and a massive universe. Now, we'll give you details on how to get the game's exclusive deals and features. Here's the latest update about No Man's Sky pre-order and release date.

Interested buyers can pre-order No Man's Sky at PlayStation.com for $79.99. This retailer edition includes a physical version of the game, a 48-page art book by Dave Gibbons and a steel book case with the PS4 version. In addition, the package comes with in-game DLCs such as a Boltcaster SM Weapon blueprint, 10,000 extra credits, Photonix Core Ship Boost and more.

Additionally, there is No Man's Sky "Explorer's Edition," a limited-run (10,000) version of the game that is exclusively available in iam8bit.  This premium package comes with a hand-painted cast metal space ship, an enamel pin, a "mystery item" with a $10 value, and a diorama display backdrop.  It also includes PC game code for Steam or GOG. The price of this package is $149.99. That's pretty high, but developers say its individual components are worth $210.

Interestingly, Amazon offers comprehensive strategy guide for No Man's Sky. The guide is called "Limitless Sky: No Man's Sky Discovery Guide." However, take note the main game becomes available next month, whereas the strategy guide is set to be released on November 2016.

The Amazon listing shows the guide costs $13.61. It will teach players how to effectively explore vast areas, fight pirates, avoid Sentinels and upgrade ship fast. Additionally, it will give instructions on how to quickly identify new species and resources.

Sean Murray of Hello Games said one of the missions in the game is to reach the center of the universe. Players can do that by gathering resources and materials from different in-game planets.  

Players should also expect an unique experience on each planet. Estimates show the game has 18 quintillion planets. To illustrate the game's vast universe, Murray claims that if a player discovers one planet every second, it would take 500 billion years to find all of them.

No Man's Sky will be released for PS4 and PC in North America on June 21, in Europe on June 22, and in the U.K. on June 24.  There are rumors that the game will have Mac version. However, its possibility remains a mystery.
