There really isn't a game like No Man's Sky.  In no other game can a player explore the universe, as if they are Captain Kirk, Buck Rogers, Buzz Lightyear, or any other space fiction hero that you care to name.  The issue that many people are asking is whether or not this game is too big, and perhaps this game as hype equal to The Force Awakens, but might end up like The Phantom Menace.  This is what is known about No Man's Sky Release Date and Updates. 

Mobipicker has an interesting theory about the No Man's Sky, and it mirrors what many gamers are thinking about the space exploring game. The issue is that No Man's Sky has been delayed in the past, with hopes that it would have arrived to PS4 and PC users before the holiday season.   The issue is that the longer that potential players have to wait, the greater the potential for disappointment. 

There are some who believe that the reason for the delay is to put the game on Virtual Reality consoles.  Considering that this could be the year that this technology actually takes off, and the PlayStation VR will be out by that time, making No Man's Sky a flagship game for a very expanded universe.  Hello Games apparently wants the time to make the game as great as possible. 

The price of the game is reported to be about $60, as that is about the price that is seen on the Amazon pre-order page.  Some find that price to be high, as Australian Network News reports that many don't think an indie game should be on sale for that price.  Granted, most video games are in the $60 price range, but these are by established gaming companies.  However, Sony has backed this game, and it has been described that they have been treating No Man's Sky like one of their own games. 

Considering what you get, that $60 could end up being a surprise bargain.  The emphasis is on the word "could".  Hello Games has essentially made a game where the player can visit worlds that number in the 18 quintillions.  These worlds are reported to have their own ecosystems, and there is more activity than any player could indulge in for their entire lifetime.   The open world of No Man's Sky has the potential to become the next digital playing field to rival that of even Minecraft. 

The truth is that open-world space exploration has been done in video games, but never at this great level.  Often, MMO games have failed due to crashed servers, and tech problems could easily kill game with a decent premise like No Man's Sky. 

Is it any wonder why there is doubt on this game?  In spite of this, gamers should be cautiously optimistic.  Expect No Man's Sky to be released this June, some sources saying June 26.
