Windows Phone giant Nokia launched its highly-anticipated Nokia's 6-inch Lumia 1520 phablet at Nokia World in Abu Dhabi Tuesday. It also launched a more affordable version, called Lumia 1320 and a new Windows RT tablet Lumia 2520.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 features a 1080p HD resolution, a 20-megapixel camera and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

The 1520 is Nokia and Microsoft's first phablets, and the first devices to ship with Microsoft's updated Windows Phone OS, which includes a new three-column interface for extra-large phones and a few extra tidbits. The phone comes in glossy red, matte black, matte white, and yellow colors.

The new Lumia 1520 comes preloaded with Microsoft Office and 7GB of Skydrive cloud storage space. The Finnish handset maker has also introduced a new Nokia Beamer app which enables users to share content to any HTML5 enabled device. Users can share contents like images, documents, location details and even camera viewfinder from the Lumia 1520 to any compatible screen through social media, emails as well as SMS.

To partner the 1520, Nokia is also launching a more budget phablet, the 1320, which has a lower resolution 720p 6in screen, a slower 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage with a micro SD slot.

The Lumia 1520 costs $749 unsubsidized while Lumia 1320 costs $339, we assume the subsidized prices should break down to about $250 on-contract.

AT&T just announced it will be the exclusive carrier of the 1520 in the US, but there's no word on pricing, color options, or a release date yet. AT&T says the tablet is arriving "just in time for the holiday season," and the phone is listed as "coming soon."

Nokia plans to compete its first phablet against 5.7 inch Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and 5.9 inch HTC One Max. As of now, the biggest Windows Phone 8 smartphone in the market is the Lumia 625, which has a display size of 4.7 inches, so Windows Phone consumers welcome larger mobile devices for purposes such as offices applications.
