The concept of virtual reality is no longer an area of science fiction. Many tech companies are now racing to develop their most up-to-date VR technology.  With the upcoming commercial release of VR headsets from Oculus and Samsung, the world is about to experience a new era of technology.

Now, we'll give you details about Oculus Rift and Samsung VR headsets release date, specs and price.

Let's start with Samsung VR. The virtual-reality device from Samsung became available last year. The headset measures 201.9 x 116.4 x 92.6 mm, which makes it very trendy and portable. As for its display features, it boasts a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution with Super AMOLED display.  It is also interesting to know that the device is compatible with other Samsung phones. Owners of the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge can use the Samsung VR without hassle.

The Samsung Gear VR is now available in various tech markets around the world for the price of $99, which doesn't include a Samsung phone. For those who have a Galaxy gadget, the Samsung's VR headset is a good choice as it is cheap and very handy.

Experience the immersive feeling in the technology while playing thrilling games. Fight zombies, Battle alien spaceships and even race cars all in the safety of your own room.

According to a review from CNET, Samsung Gear VR has relatively lower price compare to other VR headsets. The device is also fairly light and offers a complete cordless experience. Lastly, it is far more approachable than other devices unlike the HTC Vive or Oculus, which have to be connected to a PC.

On another hand, let's a look at the features of Oculus Rift. The device is set to have two OLED screens, which has a combined resolution of 2160x1200. It also has low latency so there will be no blur or visible pixels. The headset has integrated VR audio system for a more realistic gaming experience. It has an ergonomic design and fabric-coated layers.

Oculus Rift will become available on March 28, 2016. Interested gadget lovers can now have pre-orders on the device. The company said its official retail price is at $599.

Furthermore, the Oculus VR headset comes with free games right out of the box. Get ready to experience virtual-reality gaming in Valkyrie and Lucky's Tale.

Oculus Rift has captured the imagination of tech enthusiasts, because it offers many potentials for genuine virtual reality, not just in games or far-flung sci-fi worlds, according to PC Advisor.
