OMF (Overseas Missionary Fellowship) USA will celebrate the 140 year anniversary of the China Inland Mission (CIM), now OMF International, by continuing the mission that was started by Hudson Taylor.
At the Evangelical Chinese Church in Seattle, WA, the Northwest region of OMFUSA will commemorate retired China Inland Mission (CIM) members, thank contributors for their donations, and share how people can serve East Asian people groups on Oct 11.
Presenters are Dr. Neil Thompson, OMF National Director at the U.S. headquarters in Colorado who was a medical missionary in East Asia for 22 years, Elizabeth Lowe, Consultant for China Ministries, Annie Lee, coordinator for creative-access short term teams for "Serve Asia," a short term mission trip, and, from a medical team, Dr. George Chin, an ophthalmologist that serves Operation Eyesight, an international organization that works with local organizations in Africa, Asia, and Central America to prevent and treat blindness.
The speakers will share about "God's Purpose and Work in Asia" by acknowledging, the challenges of serving East Asia, OMF's vision for church planting movements, God's work in medical outreaches, and God's faithfulness to CIM and OMF for the past 140 years.
God has worked through OMF by establishing this missionary organization, as a global network with the vision to spread God's grace to every people group of East Asia, evangelizing in their own language.
OMF's mission is to glorify God by the urgent evangelization of East Asia's people, saying that "mobilization is crucial."
