One Million Baptism Tour Schedule Launched

The One Million Baptism challenge tour of Bobby Welch, the President of the Southern Baptist Convention, released its official campaign destination and date schedule. The tour will officially begin on August 29 from Welch’s home church, First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Fla.

"My invitation, prayer and expectation is to visit all sizes and types of churches in order to string together a mosaic of what the SBC really looks like at its grassroots and heart," Welch said in a statement to SBC’s Baptist Press.

The trip, which will end on Oct. 7, will cover over 20,000 miles. The bus tour will wrap up with a trip to Vancouver, Canada, an SBC Strategic Focus City with the North American Mission Board, and Welch's travels will finish with trips to Alaska and Hawaii.
