Oscars Live Stream Free, ABC TV Schedule: Red Carpet Coverage Start time

Many television networks will be hosting the 88th Academy Awards on Sunday. For those who want to watch the Oscars night live via online streaming or TV, we've got you covered. Here are the details about how to stream Oscars 2016, TV schedule and start time.

ABC, which has broadcasted Hollywood's biggest night every year since 1976, will once again grace the prestigious awards night. The network's Oscar coverage will begin 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT with red-carpet arrivals. The awards ceremony will start 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.

Viewers can tune in to ABC on their television or live-stream the event on ABC.com. The live stream is free and available for several regions in the country -- Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco.

Furthermore, there's an app to watch the Oscars. Developed by ABC, the app is available for download in the App Store, on Google Play, and via Amazon.

For viewers from the U.K, Pay TV giant Sky will be broadcasting the ceremony on its Oscars pop-up channel. The event will start at 1:30 a.m. local time. Sky Movies will also feature previous Oscars-winning films until March 6.

In Australia, The Nine Network has the exclusive rights to the Oscars telecast and will air the awards night live in local time on Monday, Feb. 28. In addition, the Australian network will stream the event online for the first time on 9Now website.

For Best Actress award, Cate Blanchett and Brie Larson are in the discussions. It is also interesting to know that Creed star Sylvester Stallone is nominated for his first Academy Award since 1977.

Comedian Chris Rock will host this year's Oscars, so expect some hilarious treat. The 50-year old actor is also expected to talk about the #OscarsSoWhite issue.
