Formed by a group of youths with a passion for films, Parable Productions had just recently completed its first movie that they've personally produced and edited. And now, ten or more actors are rehearsing with tense hearts, hoping to find their place before the camera.
Parable Productions is the first Christian film production in New York's Chinatown. It was founded by Rev. Billy Yip and three brothers who managed to recruit more than ten fellow Christians within one month. Rev. Yip expressed that the purpose of this organization is to give youths of today a platform to bring their talents into play; he hopes that theses trainings in film production can raise people of different talents for the work of missions.
On a regular basis, actors from Parable Productions rehearse fortnightly and official filming will begin in early October this year. Already, they have two movies titled "Treasure Hunt" and "A Seed of Grain". Their first official project was to film a thirty-minute introduction for Herald Crusaders.
