Joel Osteen's Encouraging Sermon to Headline Yankee Stadium in New York

Televangelist and best-selling author Joel Osteen will bring the encouraging and positive word of God this summer at the 50,000 seat Yankee Stadium in New York. The event titled "America's Night of Hope" will be the sixth one Osteen and wife Victoria host and second time in New York's largest stadium.

According to statistics by Forbes, Osteen sold out Yankee Stadium in his first visit in 2009 and is expecting to sell out once again this year following the official announcement. His popular "Night of Hope" events that have been preached nationwide has accumulated to over two million attendees since its formation.

"Victoria and I love the people of New York," said Pastor Joel Osteen regarding the event. "We're excited to be at Yankee Stadium again, and we believe people will be uplifted and filled with an expectation that their best days are still to come."

Notably, Pastor Osteen has garnered mainstream fame and prominence as a renowned author with encouraging and positive books that have been distributed worldwide and translated to many languages. Books such as "I Declare," "It's Your Time," "Become a Better You," as well as others have made their way to #1 national bestsellers. His 2007 debut, "Your Best Life Now" stayed on The New York Times Bestsellers List for over 200 weeks and expanded outside of religious demographics.

Pastor Osteen is preacher the largest Protestant church in the United States. The mega church in Lakewood, Texas, has broadcast Osteen's weekly sermons to an audience of more than 10 million viewers in the United States.

Osteen's ministries has inspired multitudes around the world and he was even labeled as "the smiling preacher." Focusing more attention on improving the lives of people and shaping character to overcome any negativity, Osteen mainly preaches on the goodness of the Gospel rather than condemnations. While Osteen has received praise and popularity with his uplifting messages on how God can change a life, there has been backlash for not preaching more on sin or the cross.

Mirroring the themes of "Your Best Life Now," Osteen and his ministries believe that "as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us."
