NBA News: Phoenix Suns' 2015 New Roster Includes Center Henry Sims, Forwards Cory Jefferson, Kyle Casey and Guards Deonte Burton, Terrico White

The Phoenix Suns have signed guards Deonte Burton and Terrico White, forwards Kyle Casey and Cory Jefferson, and center Henry Sims. The move, made official on Wednesday in a press release published by the NBA, brings the Suns' roster to a total of 18 players.

Sims, a 25-year-old center, averaged 8.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 73 games in the previous season for the Philadelphia 76ers. He played college basketball at Georgetown University and managed to deliver an average of 7.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in 121 career games all within three seasons with New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers.

Power forward Cory Jefferson played in 50 games with the Brooklyn Nets last season after being chosen in the 60th overall pick of the NBA Draft for 2014. He averaged 3.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 10.6 minutes in 2014-15, twice pouring in double-digits scores in his first career double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds against the Phoenix Suns on March 6.

Kyle Casey is a 6-foot-7-inch forward who played abroad in the last season after going undrafted out of Harvard University last year. In four seasons at Harvard, Casey participated in 118 games and averaged 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds earning him the First Team All-Ivy League distinction back in 2012. The 25-year-old player also played for the Brooklyn Nets at NBA Summer League 2014.

Deonte Burton is one of the two new guards to sign with the Suns. He had a standout four-year college career at the University of Nevada at Reno. Burton received the WAC Player of the Year and AP Honorable Mention All-America honors in 2012 during his stint at the Nevada Wolf Pack. After going undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft, he joined the Wizards for the 2014 NBA Summer League and played for the Sacramento Kings before landing to the Phoenix Suns.

Another guard to enter Phoenix is Terrico White, a 6-foot-5-inch player who was drafted 36th overall by the Detroit Pistons back in the 2010 NBA Draft. The shooting guard was on the Pistons' roster for the whole 2010-11 season but became unavailable in a game due to a foot injury. He scored 13.1 points with the NBA D-League's Idaho Stampede in 2011-12 season and has since played professionally for various international tournaments.

Burton, Casey and White all played in Europe last season. Burton joined Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany, Casey played for KK Helios Suns Domzale in Slovenia, and White joined Russia's BC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk.
