Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens Thanksgiving NFL game starts at 5:30 p.m. PT (8:30 p.m. ET) on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013. The (5-6) Steelers will be visiting the (5-6) Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. Steelers vs. Ravens Thursday Night Football (TNF) game will be televised on NBC Sports and live streamed online for free (more information below).

While Thanksgiving day football has become a big part of this holiday, there is an interesting back story. Since the year that Detroit Lions were founded in 1934, they have claimed a spot in every year's Thanksgiving Day football. Then, Cowboys was the other team that joined the tradition to play on every Thanksgiving since the 1966 season. As football has become a big part of this holiday, NFL has used since 2006 to rotate different teams in besides the Lions and Cowboys. This year, Dallas will host the visiting Raiders, and Pittsburgh Steelers will take on their rival Baltimore Ravens in prime time.

Going into Week 13 Thursday Night Football on turkey day, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has led the team with 19 touchdowns and 3,118 pass yards. Meanwhile, wide receiver Antonio Brown has 1,044 total yards and six touchdowns, and wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery has 7 touchdowns with 503 yards. Their offense is eighth in the league in pass yards, and the team now stands at 2nd in AFC North.

The Ravens, on the other hand, are still battling for a playoff spot. If they can win tonight's game, there is a big chance that they can advance to the postseason for the sixth-straight year.

Both teams are 5-6 and racing for the second wild-car spot.

"This game definitely means a lot for both teams," running back Ray Rice said, according BaltimoreRavens.com. "We have a lot at stake. We're both teams that are so called 'in the hunt,' and every game matters from here on out. So, to have it on Thanksgiving and to have in Thursday, really it's a national stage, and it's going to be a huge game."

Since the star of this season, the Steelers have won all three games against the Ravens, so Baltimore is looking to turn the tide.

Among the players to watch tonight, Steelers' rookie running back Le'Veon Bell  has proven to be a powerful running back; he has successfully penetrated through the middle of opponents' defense in the past games. Thus, the critical responsibility of stopping Bell falls on Ravens' linebacker Daryl Smith.

Moreover, Ravens' Lardarius Webb must also find a way to stop Pittsburgh's wide receiver Antonio Brown, who is arguably the biggest playmakers in NFL with 80 catches. In addition, the Ravens will also need to contain Roethlisberger in the pocket, for he might be the toughest player in the league for pass rushers to bring down.

One possible way for Ravens to advance against the Steelers' defense is to have quarterback Tyrod Taylor make plays in running game as they did in the game against the Chicago Bears two weeks ago. It is important to keep the Steelers from just coming after quarterback Joe Flacco in the pocket.
