Are you a PlayStation Plus subscriber? If you have answered in the affirmative, then I am quite sure that you would look forward at the end of each month to a slew of free games that are coming your way. This is all the more pronounced when you have a collection of Sony gaming consoles as part of the entertainment ecosystem. The thing about this is, there are surprises that need to be checked out -- some of the free games released are fun to play, while the rest are absolute rubbish. It is pretty much a mixed bag, really, so what do PlayStation Plus subscribers have in store for the second month of 2017?

It seems that there is a new freebie that will overlap January’s free PlayStation Plus games as well as February's list, making it a truly bonus month that is worth checking out. As part of Paragon's one-year anniversary celebrations, PlayStation Plus subscribers who happen to own a Sony PS4 will be able to obtain a download of a booster pack -- and this will be for free. In a PlayStation Blog post, the entire value of this booster pack is touted to be $26, where it comprises of a skin, some in-game currency, not to mention different kinds of boosters.

As for the official list of what the booster pack will entail, here is an official list of what can be found within.

  • A Moon Viper skin for Khaimera
  • 200 Paragon Coins (which are actually in-game currency) that allows one to obtain some skins as well as emotes
  • A single Loot Crate and a single Key (which can be used to open your crate in order to unlock Rare skins, Emotes, Master Challenges, among others)
  • 10-Day EXP Boost that lets you level up your heroes faster to claim Master Challenge rewards
  • 10-Day Rep Boost which will let you gain more reputation so that you can spend on card packs, among others

This particular booster pack is made available to Plus members from January 24 onward, and it can be downloaded via the PlayStation Store until February 21 rolls around. Again, the adage of the early bird getting the worm applies here. In fact, early birds will have more benefits, as there is a double XP event which kicked off yesterday all the way until January 30th, and then Paragon’s upcoming 27th free character will debut at the end of this month, with an unveiling being set for at the end of the week.

This is yet another attempt to move PlayStation Plus members in the direction of Paragon, where a starter pack was offered as a bonus free download too under the PlayStation Plus range in July last year.

The game Paragon is not a Sony PS4 exclusive, as it can also be found on the PC. It did go through some overhaul in recent times, where the map was replaced, while different segments of the game was also changed in order to provide a more balanced gaming experience.
