PlayStation Plus subscribers are always anticipating what the free games for the month will be, and there has been little word for May 2015.  However, a recent leak has revealed some possible May and June predictions for PlayStation Plus as far as the free games are concerned.

The long-awaited PlayStation Plus free games for May 2015 may have actually shown up early as a leaked post on one of PlayStation's blogs might have revealed the free games for this coming month.  According to Realty Today, this leak comes from a German blog and reveals six titles for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita users.

For the PlayStation 4, the two games include Rayman Legends and KnackRayman Legends is the fifth main title in the Rayman series and it is a platform game where up to four players can make their way through various levels, and it is also playable on the PS3.  As for Knack, it is another platform game with some beat 'em up action thrown in, with a very unusual storyline.

PlayStation 3 players should be glad to get some new titles like Need for Speed Rivals, a racing game set in an open world.  Then there is Shovel Knight, a side-scrolling platform game that has graphics inspired by 8-bit games, and this title is playable on the PS4 as well.

As for the PS Vita, users can access Fruit Ninja, a game that was a hit on mobile platforms and needs no description.  The other game is Asphalt Injection, a racing game that was released in 2011.

Of course, this is a leak, and these games might not be the ones that will be available.  There is no word as to what games will be available for June 2015 at all, and we probably won't hear about it until the end of May, unless there is another leak.

Before May 2015 begins, I would highly recommend getting in on the April games.  I'll start with the ones available for both the PS4 and the PS3, which include Aaru's Awakening and Tower of GunsPlayStation Blog reports that Aaru's Awakening is the first game from the independent studio of Lumenox Games, and it is a fast-pace platformer game with puzzles based on the protagonist's ability to teleport and change.  As for Tower of Guns, it is a single-player first-person shooter where the player has to ascend a tower full of guns that shoot all kinds of ammo at them with loads of exciting gameplay.

The PS4 exclusive game is Never Alone.  For those who are not familiar with the game, the Never Alone website describes it as developed by 40 Alaska Native elders, storytellers, and community members from the Inupiat, an Alaska Native people.  The protagonist is a young Inupiat girl and an arctic fox who are trying to "find the source of an eternal blizzard that threatens the survival of everything they have ever known".

There is also another exclusive PS4 free game known as Whoa Dave! It is a platform style video game developed by MiniVisions for many consoles, but not the mobile market.  It was just released for the PlayStation Vita at the beginning of this year, and I would have to say that the game is quite...square.  Screenshots of the video game seem to go for a retro look of eighties games on the Atari 2600, complete with blocky squares.  The game has received some good reviews, so perhaps this will be a new fan favorite, especially with the free price for April.

As for the PS3, the big grab this month is Dishonored.  We have already reported that Dishonored is coming in April 2015. Dishonored is a game developed by Bethesda Softworks, and it has a very unusual look to it.  It takes place in an industrial city of Dunwall, on some other world entirely, but it resembles Victorian London.  For this reason, the game has a dark steampunk look that is pretty unique.  The action is based on stealth and combat as the city is infected by a serious plague.

The free games for the PlayStation Vita are Killzone Mercenary and MonsterBagKillzone Mercenary is a first-person shooter designed specifically for the Vita platform, and it is the fifth title of the Killzone franchise, taking place throughout certain locations in the first three installments of the Killzone universe.  As for MonsterBag, Techno Buffalo describes it as puzzle, platform, and action game.

For those that are not familiar with PlayStation Plus, it is a paid PlayStation Network subscription service to provide users with some great features including having game patches and system software updates download automatically to the console, as well as getting some betas and demos of new games, not to mention the store discounts and the already mentioned free games.  The PlayStation online multiplayer requires a subscription to PlayStation Plus.

Hopefully, the info gained in the leak is true, as was the accidental leak of Dishonored last month.  If not, I'm sure the new games will reveal themselves for May and June of 2015.
