Pokémon fans have to wait a little longer before they can use the Pokémon Go Plus wearable. Nintendo recently said the wearable will become available in September, not the end of July as originally announced. The company is now reaching out players who pre-order the device with an offer of small discount on their next purchase.

Pokémon Go Plus can be used as a bracelet band, or as a pin on clothes. The device is shaped like a Google Maps pin with colors of a Poké Ball. The $35 watch lets players perform some in-game actions without using their phone.

The device can be connected to a player's smartphone via Bluetooth. It will vibrate if there's a nearby PokéStop, and it will flash when a pokémon is near.  Players can also press a button on the device to throw a Poké Ball, and they'll be notified with another flash if they successfully caught a digital monster.

Interestingly, officials of Niantic announced last week that the game's four biggest legendaries--Aritcuno, Moltres, Zapdos, Mewtwo--will be coming to Pokémon Go very soon.

One of the greatest benefits of having Pokémon Go Plus is players can catch and search for digital monsters without draining their phone's battery life.  In addition, hunting monsters with the wearable is much safer, because players can focus on the road instead of looking down on their phones.

As for Pokémon Go's roll out in Asia, Niantic Labs head John Hanke said the game will be released in at least one region a day.  Interestingly, after that announcement, the company released the game in Hong Kong, leading many to believe other Asian countries will be next. However, days have been passed without new announcement.

It is rumored Niantic decided not release the game on new regions to prevent negative publicity. If the game becomes accessible in other Asian countries, developers would be under high pressure to maintain the server in stable condition.

In a study from Survey Monkey, it shows that Pokemon Go's popularity in the United States is slowly fading away. The mobile app had a record-high of 25 million active users in July 14, but since then users are slowly decreasing.
