Pre-ordered Apple AirPods Are Set To Arrive On Dec. 21

Apple’s long-awaited AirPods went up for sale on the company’s website on Dec. 13. Those who were able to place their orders earlier than others have now received emails from Apple. Apparently, the tech giant has sent confirmation that the AirPods had already been shipped. Customers should expect their new wireless headphone to arrive by Dec. 21.

According to a report by the Apple Insider, customers who were able to pre-order within the first two hours of its release online have received shipping confirmation on Saturday morning. Apple initially said that customers will be able to get hold of their AirPods before the end of this year. However, the company pushed it back to four weeks. As of now, Apple will deliver shipments in February. The reason for the delay is the short supply of AirPods. It seemed that Apple has not expected the demand for their new product.

It should be noted that a lot of people have been waiting for months for these AirPods. Its initial release date was October. It was supposed to be launched alongside the iPhone 7. The wireless headphone is a perfect cell phone accessory for iPhone 7 users. Users see the need of AirPods with the absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Though you have to spend $159 for these wireless headphones.

According to Mac Rumors, AirPods have also started to be delivered in New Zealand and Australia. In addition, Australians can now go to their nearest Apple retail store. Apparently, AirPods are now being sold there. Though the supply at some stores is only limited. For those in the US, Best Buy will receive AirPods stock today. Apple is expected to provide regular stock to other retail stores.

If you are interested in purchasing the AirPods, you are advised to buy it from physical stores. As mentioned above, online orders will take more time to be delivered. This is in case you have missed to pre-order immediately after it became available at Apple.com.

To be able to use the AirPods, your device should at least be running on this following operating system versions: iOS 10, watchOS 3 and macOS Sierra. This Bluetooth-enabled headphones can last up to five hours. The “high quality audio and industry-leading battery life” are made possible by Apple’s own W1 chip. The AirPods are also equipped with advanced sensors and a support for Apple’s digital assistant Siri. You will be able to connect it with other Apple devices through your iCloud account.
